By walking through the Cardo Maximus Street of Jerash, you would literally be stepping next to the Roman chariots, where the street’s original ground magnificently survived ages of nature’s destructive factors; so you can easily notice the Chariots’ ruts marks visible on the surface right next to your feet. This spacious architecture 800m site is definitely worth your walking breath.

Hadrian’s Arch:
This 11-metre high arched gate was built in honor of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, during his visit to Jerash in 129 AD. In addition to being a commemorative construction, this superb gateway was intended to serve as an approach to the southern side of the city. One of Hadrian’s Arch distinguished features is the capitals decorating its column’s bottom. So we urge you to enter through this iconic arch, and throw a wave to the marvelous history of the place.
