Ahh, where should we start? Should we tell you about the astonishing culture? Or should we start with the ancient sites? Maybe we should write about the people? Well, one thing for sure, one blog post won’t be enough to describe Cairo, the capital of Egypt, which is indeed a mystical city. Here are 5 signs that you’ve landed in Cairo…

You Hear “Welcome”. A Lot!

As soon as you land in Cairo and make your way through the airport, rest assure you’ll be hearing “Welcome” a lot! Or at least some variation of it. There is “Kol Sana Wnta Tyab”, which is the equivalent of Happy Birthday in Arabic; you might be hearing “Menwar ya Khwaja”, which is also another Egyptian way of saying “Welcome”. So Whenever you hear any of these phrases, just nod and smile; and we believe you’ll be doing that a lot.

The Sun is Always There

cairo

Cairo is a sunny city; actually, all of Egypt is. Regardless of the season, the sun is always up and shining its way through the crowded city of Cairo. It will definitely feel different and we recommend you take advantage of the outdoors and get sun-kissed while enjoying a breeze of fresh air.

 Sounds All Around

If there is really a city that never sleeps, it’s most certainly Cairo! From dusk till dawn, there is always some form of hustle and bustle going on in the streets of this crowded city; but don’t you worry, the noise is a part of the exotic experience. We recommend that you embrace the lively ambiance of the city ( and maybe use ear plugs when sleeping).
