Karnak Temple Complex

The Karnak Temple Complex is one of the most famous and one of the biggest historic religious destinations known to man. Karnak served as the principle religious center for Amun-Re, the most iconic and most mentioned God in the whole history of Ancient Egypt. The complex consists of ancient perished temples and chapels, in addition to the Precinct of Amun-Re, Precinct of Mut and Precinct of Montu. Karnak is mostly recognized by the pillars of the Great Hypostyle Hall located in the Precinct of Amun-Re, the largest Precinct in the complex. We really think that Karnak should be the first site to visit during your private tour in Luxor, Egypt.

Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is another notable site in Luxor that you won’t regret going to during your tour. The Valley of the Kings, also known as “Wadi El Melouk” in Arabic, is composed of a collection of underground tombs that were constructed over a period of 500 years. The Valley, which is located on the left bank or the Nile, was the royal burial site for Pharaohs’ most prominent royal figures, such as Ramses II and Tutankhamun, from the 18th till the 20th dynasty. Tombs were constructed in a sophisticated way that serves the ancient belief of the life continuation after death. Royals’ bodies were mummified and buried with many valuable belongings, in addition to food and drinks. The Valley of the Kings was acknowledged as a World Heritage Site and has been an alluring destination for archaeologists and historians from all around the world.

Medinat Habu

This magnificent destination dates back to the New Kingdom era, and it was named “Djamet” back then. Medinat Habu is a complex of temples  and was regarded as a holy ground where ‘Ogdoad’, the primordial deities, were buried. Medinat Habu is mostly known by The Motuary Temple of Ramses III, which was originally built next to another smaller one which was built by Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis III to worship Amun; but later on, Ramses III has joined both structures by a huge mud brick. Despite its historical value, Medinat Habu isn’t among the most visited sites in Luxor; however, we regard it as another must-visit site during your private tour in Luxor, Egypt.
